..Pipes VGE Error..

Problem: 

The pipes vertical grading editor (VGE) displays an error message or a blank display.

Issue: 

If a pipe or structure has been positioned outside of a surface, the software will assign an arbitrary invert level (-99999999). If this pipe is displayed on either the main pipe network or as a crossing pipe in the VGE, it will be unable to display the large elevation range. Note: V22.10 will warn users if a service structure is located outside a surface

Solution: 

Use the Pipe Grades Report to quickly review all pipe networks in the project and determine if any pipes have exessive grades. See image below. Once you have determined the network, use Edit Panel -> Edit Pipe to select the pipe lengths and manually override the invert levels.
