We have found some users experience an issue when using model viewer and the model will not display.

This is a common problem on new computers or after hardware changes.

If you receive a similar message to that displayed above, please try the following suggestions:

  • Update graphics driver (from the manufacturer, NOT Windows). Determine the make and model of your graphics card and visit the manufacturers web site to obtain the driver package for your card. Install these drivers.
  • Ensure the graphics driver is being used for all displayed monitors
  • Check Nahimic is not installed. Nahimic occasionally causes issues with some hardware configurations and it is recommended to uninstall the drivers for this
  • Model Viewer settings:
    • Change from OpenGL to DirectX. Open Model Viewer, set the Home tab current, click on Viewer Settings and in the Graphics Renderer section, either OpenGL of Direct3D will be selected, choose the other option (if OpenGL checked, place the check in Direct3D and vice-versa)
    • Confirm it is a problem with different jobs so we know it is a systems issue (and not a data issue)
    • Try running off main monitor (diagnosis tool)
  • If all else fails
    • Could be a hardware issue with the graphics card (rare, but has happened)
    • Check your design for any extreme levels in your project (Check Pipes and any House Connections for extreme levels)
