In Civil Site Design V22.1 we introduced automatic rescaling of text originating from Civil Site Design.
This addition causes issues when referencing CSD back into a project. When this occurs, the automatic scaling will need to be disabled and legacy functionality will need to be restored and produces issues like shown below.
This new functionality looks at the Model Scale in each of the layout viewports and calculates the plotted text height. Similar to native Annotative text however there is no need to apply different scales to the Civil Site Design text. This now means that the text displayed in your layout viewports will display at the correct scale.
In Civil Site Design, when creating Cross and Longitudinal Sections we provide the ability to write the sections to the current drawing or out to file. When the section is written to layout, the profile is placed in the layout with an inferred plotted scale of 1:1 and presents as expected.
We would suggest when this file is used as an external reference (xref) back into a design drawing that the xref be placed in the desired layout.
When the Xref is placed in Model Space and then viewed through a viewport, the scale of the text may be incorrect as text in the Xref is flagged as being CSD generated text. This behaviour can be turned off by going to General > System Settings > Resize and Layout Settings and unchecking Apply automatic label scaling (Viewports)
